Welcome to Villanova University! We are delighted that you are joining our teaching community, and we look forward to meeting you during the virtual orientation program, offered synchronously via Zoom, on Monday, August 15 at 5:30p.m. The program has been designed to ensure a smooth, successful transition to your instructional role and familiarize you with mission, policies, and resources.
Prior to the program, you will be invited to participate in an asynchronous course on learning-centered online teaching offered in Blackboard (LMS). Please log into Blackboard LMS – click on elearning from VU homepage, then click on the VU seal, and sign in with your Villanova email and password. Once in Blackboard, please click on My Organizations and then on Seminar for Newly-Appointed Faculty at Villanova. The seminar offers videos, resources on student engagement, syllabus development, and academic resources. You need to have VU email and password to sign in (please reach out to the Office of the Provost for further details).
We have prepared this online resource to support you as you begin to prepare for your courses, develop course materials and finalize syllabi. We invite you to contact us prior to the orientation program via email.
